A man arrested after explosives were found in his mobile home in Nakusp has been remanded in custody.
Johann Blattnig – who police say is in his 30’s- was arrested Monday morning when officers located what appeared to be dynamite and a blasting cap .
Blattnig has been charged with one count of possession of explosives for an unlawful purpose.
His next court appearance is Wednesday.
Two nearby mobile homes were evacuated.
Monday night a specialist team confirmed the items were explosives and removed them. Residents were then able to return.
