Drive BCÂ has issued a travel advisory for the 210 kilometre stretch of Highway 3 between Yahk and the Alberta border.
A combination of heavy traffic volume, snow flurries and a drop in temperature prompted the advisory to be put in effect last night.
Only travel on Highway 3 if absolutely necessary, expect icy and slippery sections and use caution.
Motorists are asked to leave adequate room between vehicles, drive to road conditions and watch for changes.
