West Creston home owners eligible for insurance discount

Home owners in West Creston are now eligible for a discount on their insurance.

Town of Creston Fire Chief Mike Moore says the dwelling protection grade rating for those residents has been improved.

That’s thanks to the establishment of a satellite fire hall, truck and 10 trained volunteers.

Moore says people who live within 8 km’s of the fire hall can receive a discount that’s recognized by all insurance agents.

Those within 13 km’s can contact local brokers for the savings.

The fire risk rating system is done by the fire underwriter’s survey.
