Future Park has conceptual design

Plans for a new park in Creston made a visual début to Creston Council.

A conceptual design for Market Park, between the Chamber building and Extra Foods, was recently presented to councillors.

Mayor Ron Toyota says the project is still in the very preliminary stages but it needs to be ready to go.

The new park would house the Farmers’ Market and the design includes a First Nations element.

Toyota says the project will only proceed with grant money and would not impact taxpayers.
