With five days to go until a popular family medical clinic closes in Trail, there is a high level of confidence that most patients have found another home.
That’s the word from Julius Halaschek-Wiener.
He’s the clinical lead for the Kootenay Boundary division of family practice, a not-for-profit society representing the region’s family doctors.
About 1,000 patients were on the books.
One of the Selkirk Clinic doctors has relocated to Rossland, another to Grand Forks and a third may remain to work at the KBRH.
Halaschek-Wiener says Trail needs two new doctor recruits and there are some positive leads.
