The latest unemployment numbers are out from Stats Canada and the picture is improved for the Kootenays.
5.7% of the workforce were jobless in November. That’s better than the 6.1% in October and also better than the 6.6% in November last year.
BC’s jobless rate was 6 % for November. That’s slightly up compared to the 5.8% in November last year.
