Another round of near-impossible budget cuts are coming for the Kootenay Columbia School District.
This from chair darrel ganzert as they face a $1.3 million deficit.
He says after years of cutting in so many areas it seems certain teacher jobs will be lost.
Ganzert says job losses won’t be clear till the spring.

$500,000 of the deficit is a direct result of student enrolment decline.
But $400,000 is because of what he calls the government’s irrational cut to admin spending and another $250,000 is a penalty for not following special education budget rules.
