The Trail Wildlife Association has found themselves on the defensive lately.
The group has been publicly accused of spearheading a proposal which would limit motorized entry in the Pend D’oreille.
But TWA President Terry Hanik says this isn’t the case as the idea was from the provincial government. He says the proposal fell into the wrong hands.
He says a public meeting held Monday has since smoothed things over but he’d appreciate people getting their facts straight before placing blame.
The Ministry says reducing ATV access will help wildlife and a final draft of the management plan will be available by the end of the year.
