2 burn projects start today

Two burn projects in our region will be taking place today through Saturday.

One will be near Keen Creek which is 8km west of Kaslo.

The other is located by Hope Creek along highway 31, 30km south of Meadow Creek.

Here’s Fire Information Officer with the Southeast Fire Center Karlie Shaughnessy.

Smoke is expected to linger for several days.

The burns will be monitored by BC Wildfire Service crews.
