The society behind Trail’s long-awaited skate park is disappointed after a meeting with the City Wednesday night but are not disheartened.
Council decided not to include the park in their 2014 budget and also turned down a request from the society to reduce their fundraising goal from $250,000 to to $100,000.
We asked society director Patrick Audet after years of trying to bring this project to life – do they ultimately just have to give up?
Originally the City and society agreed to each pay half of an estimated $500,000 project.
However the City suggests the project has now increased in cost to about $850,000.
