SD 8 – class sizes at PCSS being addressed

The Kootenay Lake School District is assuring parents and students that oversized classes are being dealt with.

Some classes at Prince Charles Secondary in Creston have over 30 kids.

Superintendent , Jeff Jones says this is a transition period and there are several factors to consider.

Jones is referring to a new student information system – My Education BC – that was initiated throughout the province this fall.

He says the issue is the accuracy of the full-time equivalent student numbers, but it is being addressed .
