Nelson’s Mayor says the city will work closely with Canada Post to find locations for community mailboxes.
The post office announced last week that it’s pushing ahead with a plan to do away with door-to-door delivery.
Mayor Deb Kozak is disappointed but says now it’s about minimizing the inconvenience.
Kozak says Nelson’s hilly terrain poses some challenges.
She encourages residents to fill out a survey that Canada Post is distributing about the change.
