One Castlegar resident is as happy as a pig in mud.
City Council held a special meeting Thursday to reverse a decision made earlier in the week that Andrea Lamont’s pet pot-bellied pigs were in violation of the Animal Control bylaw.
Council ruled that Lamont will be able to keep her pegs as long as she agrees to inspections by the bylaw officers.
She says she is happy to agree with the stipulations.

Lamont had argued she was told by a previous bylaw officer two years ago that the pigs were legal.
The pets will be grandfathered into the bylaw that still forbids pot-bellied pigs in the City.
