The City of Trail will renew a study regarding the financial implications of a boundary extension into area A.
Council agreed to update the report that was last completed in 2013 as they look to enter mitigation talks with the RDKB soon.
Mayor Mike Martin says part of the City’s Strategic Plan involves reviewing matters around the process of obtaining the Columbia Gardens industrial area.
Martin says they hope to have ongoing issues with Teck Trail operations regarding the boundary extension wrapped up by the fall.
He says they will then discuss compensation for assets in Area A and the RDKB that would move into Trail’s jurisdiction.
