Trail widening among RDCK applications to Canada 150

The Regional District of Central Kootenay is submitting five applications to the Canada 150 fund.

They include widening of the Nelson-to-Salmo rail trail.

Chief administrator Stuart Horn says it’s nice that the Columbia Basin Trust is offering matching funds.

Other RDCK applications include upgrades to the Nelson and Castlegar rec centres and the North Shore hall.

Puck drop date set for KIJHL season
