The North Shore fire department put out a vehicle fire on Highway 3A around One Mile last evening.
Chief Fred Schneider says the call came in around 6.
The highway was closed for about an hour.
The driver escaped the Ford Focus without injury.
Schneider says the fire started in the engine although the exact cause isn’t known.
